JCBank Launch SMS banking in Jordan

Jordan Commercial Bank (JCBank) has launched a SMS Banking service, that enables clients to manage their accounts through their mobile SMS service for a more convenient channel of communication between the bank and clientele.

The service was established as a two way communication tool between the bank and client. The bank may contact clients through the SMS Push messaging service in which clients can be informed daily about their account balance, salary notifications, summary of the last transaction, and other advanced services. JCBank took the SMS Push service a step further by being the first in Jordans banking sector to allowing clients to check their Push messages online, such as their salary notification. Furthermore, JCBank is the first bank in Jordan to provide SMS Pull messaging, where the client may also contact the bank through the SMS service to request account balance inquiry, last transaction information, money transfers, holding a cheque and other services. The new SMS Banking service was established because of JCBanks objective to enhance the banks services through advanced and secured offerings. In addition, the Banks SMS service will also be providing convenience and a new channel for receiving personal information.
