Harbor Federal Savings Bank Selects Attachmate Smart Connectors for Online Banking

Harbor Federal Savings Bank has selected Attachmates myEXTRA! Smart Connectors for UTS/T27 to expand its online banking services. Smart Connectors allow developers to securely expose legacy data and business logic for use in new applications, without making changes to the mainframe. Smart Connectors implement a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to granularly access legacy data and encapsulate it in a reusable (JavaBeans, Web services, XML) format. Harbor Federal launched online services in 1999, offering external funds transfers and commercial services. Smart Connectors will automate processes from the front-end user interface by making the link to back-end Unisys host functions necessary to complete transactions. Processes previously done manually, like stop-pay, will be automated. New commercial services will include positive pay, wire transfer, and ACH origination over the Web.
