Tuesday 25 January 2005 11:35 CET | News

WAY Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Secure Mobile Phone POS Solutions and Phoenix-based GCG Consulting, Inc., together successfully deployed dozens of WAY Systems secure mobile phone POS devices to Fiesta Bowl merchants for the January 1, 2005 Pittsburgh vs. Utah game.

Days before and during the bowl game, merchants processed over $80,000 in sales over WAY Systems easy-to-use mobile credit card solution, which operates securely over General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) carrier networks. This deployment demonstrates the true ability of our technology to increase sales in a real world environment, sales, that would have previously been lost due to the inability to easily and securely accept payments in a mobile environment, said Will Graylin, CEO of WAY Systems. With this application, its easy to understand the market potential and appeal across numerous industries, worldwide, Graylin added. The online reporting and local support from GCG Consulting along with WAYs MTT proved to be a profitable combination for bowl merchants who benefited from increased sales of various game and team related merchandise. The success of this joint effort exceeded our expectations, said Greg Gooslin, GCG Consulting Founder and President. Together, we helped merchants reach new business by providing a cost-effective mobile solution that supports all the major credit card brands.
