VeriFone makes card payment and digital media service available for UK taxis

US electronic payment technologies company VeriFone has closed a licensing deal with UK-based authority London’s Taxi and Private Hire to make its taxi card payment and digital media service available for UK taxis.

Under the terms of the agreement, VeriFone’s taxi card payment and digital media system is expected to provide UK customers with passenger information technology and several payment options, such as credit, debit and contactless cards.

The company has also deployed transportation systems in other regions of the world, including Istanbul, Singapore and New York City.

In addition, VeriFone has launched its VeriFone Entertainment Network suite, which is set to deliver real-time media for advertisers.
