Tanzania: Bank of Tanzania, Airtel partner for mobile money transfer service

Bharti Airtels African division Airtel Tanzania has entered an agreement with financial institution Bank of Tanzania to provide the latter with its mobile money transfer service dubbed Airtel Money, online media outlet allafrica.com reports.

According to the source, the service will be available for Airtel Money agents who are set to be able to provide the service from bank branches across Tanzania.

In recent news, Airtel Rwanda, a division of Indian telecommunication services company Bharti Airtel, is set to launch a mobile banking platform dubbed Airtel Money by the end of 2012.
