Standard Chartered India launches IVR-based m-payments with Paymate

Tuesday 17 March 2009 00:59 CET | News

Financial services provider Standard Chartered India has partnered with mobile commerce company Paymate India to launch an interactive voice response (IVR)-based mobile payments service, Techtree reports.

With this service, Standard Chartered customers are able to make utility bill payments, top up mobile phone accounts, book movie and flight tickets, make online purchases or shop from over 13,000 PayMate accredited merchants. The auto-IVR call-back service enables Standard Chartered clients to link their credit cards to their mobile phones in order to pay for their purchases via their mobile phones. With Paymate’s auto-IVR call-back service, the transactions take place over an IVR call and are secured with a 2-factor PIN authentication.
