Sify enables mobile commerce on www.SifyMall.com

Indian www.sifymall.com, the leading online shopping portal from Sify Limited, has announced that millions of mobile phone users on GPRS services will be able to buy a wide range of products and services over their phones starting today. To enable this easy to use and path breaking initiative, SifyMall has tied up with JiGrahak, a Mobility Solutions provider, and will be using JiGrahak’s m-commerce/m-payment platform ‘NGPay’ (Next Generation Pay).

Most mobile phones, other than the basic models, are GPRS compatible. Users can call their service operators to enable the GPRS facility on their phones so that they are able to shop over their phones, book airline tickets online, browse websites etc. Anyone with a GPRS enabled mobile connection can log on to www.ngpay.com, and download the NGPay application on to their mobile handsets. Once installed, the intuitive user interface can be used to shop Anytime, Anywhere for a wide range of products like flowers, books, Movie DVDs and VCDs on SifyMall.com. Payments can be made using credit cards to start with, and can soon be made from bank accounts as well. Shopping on SifyMall using mobile phones heralds a new world of convenience, for it is easy to use, quick and absolutely secure.
