Reliance Communications, Atom Technologies enter m-commerce agreement

Indian telecommunications company Reliance Communications (RCOM) has closed a deal with m-commerce services provider Atom Technologies for the delivery of platform for payment transactions via Reliance Mobile, The Economic Times reports.

Under the terms of the deal, via RCOM, Atom Technologies will provide Indian and foreign banks with a common platform, thus enabling its subscribers to make payments across its merchant base. Through a Reliance Mobile connection, subscribers will also be able to buy insurance services, DTH recharges, movie tickets, books and periodicals, consumer goods, holiday packages as well as bus and train tickets.

Atom Technologies has developed merchant acquiring relationship with ICICI, HDFC, Citi and Axis Bank.
