PayPal taps Accumulate for mobile payments

Wednesday 14 September 2011 14:50 CET | News

PayPal has signed an agreement with Swedish mobile payments company Accumulate to tap Accumulate’s Mobile Everywhere (ME) security platform for mobile services.

Under the terms of the partnership, the two companies are set to jointly develop mobile services projects for the Swedish local market.

The Accumulate ME platform enables the delivery of multiple mobile financial services via a single centralized platform. These services include mobile payment, mobile banking, mobile POS payments (including NFC), mobile person-to-person payments and mobile remittance. Other services that can also be delivered via the Accumulate ME platform include information, secure credit card, ticketing services, coupons and loyalty cards.

Services can be added or changed without having the end user to re-download, reinstall or reactivate their mobile client application. The ME platform supports all major mobile platforms including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Windows and Symbian.
