Wednesday 29 May 2013 09:48 CET | News

German mobile payments services provider payleven has made its mobile chip and PIN card reader available in European Apple stores and through Apple’s website in countries where payleven is currently active.

The chip and PIN device enables merchants as well as private individuals to accept debit and credit card payments while on-the-go. The card reader connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet and there are no monthly fixed fees or contract duration. Customers enter their PIN on the keypad of the device to conduct mobile payments.

In recent news, Micros Systems, a provider of information technology services for the hospitality and retail industries, has entered an agreement with payleven to provide businesses with a cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) solution with integrated mobile chip and PIN card payment technology.
