German mobile payments services provider payleven has implemented a registration process using electronic ID check technology and has enabled private individuals to sign up for card payments.

The electronic ID check technology eliminates the need for merchants to submit a copy of their ID and proof of address during sign-up. With the new signup process, a payleven account can be almost instantly approved and finalised in a shorter amount of time.

payleven allows everyone to accept cashless payments anytime and anywhere, by delivering a card payments solution which is open to both businesses and individuals.

Both the new onboarding process and private registration will be available from today in the UK and is set to be rolled out to payleven’s other markets- Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland and Brazil.

payleven’s chip and PIN device, is a gadget that links to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Customers enter their PIN on the keypad of the device to conduct mobile payments. In recent news, payleven has added two new features to its platform- multi-accounts and support for various printer systems.
