O2 Germany, mpass to roll out online top-up service

Monday 22 February 2010 11:35 CET | News

O2 Germany has joined forces with m-payments service mpass for the launch of an online top-up service.

The new service enables prepaid customers of Telefonica O2 Germany with a German bank account to top up their credit using mpass by registering on www.mpass.de and entering their address, bank account and selecting a PIN number. After entering their online PIN numbers, users receive confirmations via SMS on their mobile phones before the chosen amount will be credited to their mobiles and debited by direct debit.

In December 2009, German payment services company easycash was selected as a payments partner for Vodafone Germany and O2 Germanys mobile payment system mpass.
