Nazara Technologies, India-based mobile applications and services company, launched a comprehensive service that will enable mobile content developers from all over the world to quickly launch services targeting the 45 million strong mobile subscriber base. The India gateway service includes connection to all major Indian operators through a common national shortcode (6363), reliable SMS termination to all mobile phones in India, premium billing integration with the carriers, payment collection, reporting and localization of products and services. According to Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara, “Without doubt, India is following China’s footsteps when it comes to sheer size of mobile subscribers and the user base is widely estimated to cross 100 million subscribers within the next 12-18 months. This opens up a huge, virtually untapped market for mobile content providers worldwide and we look forward to providing a turn key solution that will help our partners maximize the opportunity at hand. Nazara is all geared up to work closely with mobile content developers from all over the world and bring them to India in 2005.” The service is targeted towards content providers such as developers of mobile games who wish to market their products to the growing consumer base in India.
