Germany-based neobank N26 has announced partnering with UK-based mobile payments company SumUp to enable business customers of the bank to use cashless, secure and contactless payment options.

This partnership will allow freelancers, entrepreneurs and self-employed users across Europe to digitise their business and offer their customers more digital payment method choice. According to SumUp’s press release, the partnership with N26 will give the banks business customers the right tools to manage their money in a digital environment. The partnership enables business owners to concentrate fully on offering their customers high-quality service, by offering them easy access to contactless payment options.

Account holders of N26 Business Standard, N26 Business Smart, N26 Business You and N26 Business Metal all over Europe can now also purchase the SumUp Air POS card reader at a reduced price. N26 users can accept mobile wallet and card payments from their customers without having to deal with cash. For this SumUp service, there is only a one-time acquisition cost and a fixed transaction fee. In order to purchase a SumUp Air card reader as an N26 customer, users can go to the ‘Discover’ tab in the N26 app. The corresponding SumUp icon can be found in the ‘Partner Offers’ area. After the offer has been activated, a personalised code is generated, which is entered when the SumUp account is created. The discount is activated automatically and users can start making secure, contactless payments.
