MYPINPAD merges with SmartPesa

Tuesday 19 April 2022 13:50 CET | News

UK-based fintech MYPINPAD has merged with Singapore-based payments and banking solutions provider SmartPesa and will operate under the former's brand.

Customers will benefit from scaling, a wider product offering, and the certainty of continued support as the industry moves towards the PCI Security Standards Council's forthcoming Mobile Payments on COTS (MPoC) Standard.

The combined entity expects to double its existing footprint in APAC, LATAM, and EMEA and target North America in 2022 and beyond.

The UK-based company’s representatives stated that they’re happy they came together with SmartPesa. Their team and product capabilities will complement MYPINPAD’s existing suite of PCI certified payments solutions. The combination will increase growth, provide economies of scale and better position them to serve the global customer base.

MYPINPAD is a global player in secure payments acceptance and personal authentication solutions using smartphones and tablets. Its proprietary and globally patented technology secures and protects the input of sensitive information on touchscreens, creating a trusted environment.
