Mobily and Oberthur Card Systems Partner

Mobily, second mobile operator and first to obtain a 3G licence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has chosen Oberthur Card Systems as a long term partner for the delivery of 2G and 3G SIM Cards.

In Mobile Communications, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest market in the Middle East and benefits from an important potential of growth. Mobily is the brand of Etihad Etisalat, a consortium which combines an unmatched depth of experience in regional telecommunications with expertise and knowledge of the local market. The consortium’s main partner Etisalat, UAE was one of the first to introduce mobiles in the Middle East and 3G technology in the recent years. The recent birth of this operator will herald the crossing of an important milestone in the Kingdom’s telecommunications sector.
