MOBIbucks, Advanced Integrated Systems to provide mobile money platform for the Caribbean

Jamaica-based transaction processing provider Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS) has partnered US mobile payments and marketing provider MOBIbucks to roll out a mobile money platform in Jamaica which is set to be available in the Caribbean within a year.

The platform allows users to carry out cashless transactions using their mobile phone number and their PIN.

The MOBIbucks/AIS platform is interoperable with existing merchant and ABM infrastructure, which allows users access to banking, accounting, e-commerce, bill and loan payments and money transfer services.

AIS services in Jamaica include payment operations for healthcare, POS for banks, retail, hotels and e-commerce businesses.

In recent news, MOBIbucks launched MOBIBanked, a mobile banking app that is set to be compatible with any mobile device with the usage of the phone’s number and a PIN.
