Intec and Giza Systems win mediation contract extension with Telecom Egypt

Intec Telecom Systems and Giza Systems, havesigned a contract extension for Intecs Inter-mediatE solution with Telecom Egypt, the countrys PTT and largest telecommunications service provider.Under the terms of the new agreement Telecom Egypt will extend the use of Inter-mediatE to provide nationwide mediation communications support for its operations by supplying the usage data for all the companys billing systems.. Inter-mediatE, a future-proof, carrier-grade convergent mediation solution, provides a platform that can track, measure and charge for the use of Telecom Egypts entire network. This is performed by gathering raw data from switches, routers and servers and transforming it into comprehensive information used by billing and other downstream systems. Telecom Egypts network spans over 400 host switches, from different vendors, covering 6 regions and 26 governates. The company provides services to 8.5 million subscribers with a capacity for 11 million in total, representing 12.5 percent of Egypt’s population.
