Under the agreement, Ingenico’s iPA280 is set to be used at Mexico´s major concert halls to provide a Point-of-Sale terminal to customers.
The iPA280 is set to be used to place orders mainly in the VIP lounges and at the spectator’s seats. The iPA280 contains integrated smart card, magnetic stripe and contactless readers as well as a thermal printer and barcode reader for data capture and acquisition. It supports GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth connections while providing location based services delivered through the internal GPS receiver.
In recent news, IBM has inked a contract with David Jones, a department store group, to provide the latter with a retail solution. Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will develop and integrate David Jones’ web design, online application development, social media, analytics and reporting services.
