Fujitsu, VeriFone partner for mobile POS services for retailers

US-based electronic payment services provider VeriFone Systems has entered an agreement with Japan-based multinational information technology equipment and services company Fujitsu.

Under the agreement, the companies are set to provide retailers with mobile retailing services powered by VeriFone GlobalBay and integrated with the Fujitsu GlobalSTORE service or as a standalone mobile point of sale (POS). Fujitsu retail customers are set to have access to mobile POS services enabling them to accept payments anywhere in the store.

In recent news, Polish taxi company Glob Taxi has selected VeriFone for the latter’s payment acceptance system.
