French Mobile Distillery, German Stollmann E&V sign agreement

Wednesday 29 April 2009 14:40 CET | News

French NFC technologies provider Mobile Distillery and German provider of portable, modular protocol stacks for NFC, ISDN and Bluetooth Stollmann E&V have signed an agreement at the NFC Developers Summit in Monte Carlo Monaco.

During the first phase of their collaboration, Mobile Distillery is going to integrate Stollmanns cross-platform NFC stack within its mobile application framework Celsius. The Stollmann NFC protocol stack ‘NFCStack+’ encompasses the complete middleware for mobile phones, embedded products and other platforms. The two firms suggest that writing applications using the Celsius framework will give automatic benefits to phones using Stollmann’s stacks. The companies also said that they are working to ease the use of NFC technology by smoothing out the difference in hardware or software implementations. Their aim is to ensure that an application using NFC could be ported with the maximum reliability and minimum effort across a large number of hardware platforms.
