Tuesday 8 February 2011 10:09 CET | News

Dutch digital security company Gemalto has entered an agreement with French banking organisation Credit Agricole for the deployment of mobile contactless payment services.

Under the terms of the deal, Gemalto is expected to support the French bank in deploying NFC-enabled mobile payment services for the latter’s customers in the Nice - Côte dAzur urban community.

Gemalto is set to provide its Trusted Service Management (TSM) service, which is expected to allow for the deployment and management of mobile contactless payment, regardless of the mobile network.

Gemalto has deployed 35 NFC projects globally to date.

In a recent development, Gemalto has rolled out its electronic passport service to Korea’s National Printer, Korea Minting and Security Printing, through its local partner, IT services provider LG CNS.
