Ericsson selected by Bellwave for second generation 3G platform

Ericsson and South Korean Bellwave have signed a license agreement for U250, which is the latest state-of-the art WCDMA/GPRS platform from Ericsson Mobile Platforms.

With the agreement, Bellwave and Ericsson extend their cooperation of combining Ericssons industry leading WCDMA/GPRS platform technology and Bellwaves innovative and feature rich products. Ericsson Mobile Platforms 3G-platform U250 is a highly integrated small footprint WCDMA/GPRS platform offering upgraded network signaling protocols required for the growing WCDMA networks, advanced multimedia capabilities including the ability to directly interface to multi-megapixel cameras, provide advanced audio and video capabilities, 3D graphics and support a wide variety of mass storage memories.
