As part of the partnership, Comviva is set to provide its mobiquity mobile financial platform to enable NationLink to offer integrated financial payment service which allow subscribers to conduct a series of transactions over the mobile. This includes international inbound money transfers, domestic money transfers, prepaid airtime e-top ups, utility bill payments and mobile ticketing services.
This mobile money service will target both under- banked and unbanked segments of the population, supporting multiple transactional methods and offering payment and banking services to mobile users across Somalia.
Comviva’s mobiquity platform is currently live or being deployed by 40 service providers globally and delivers mobile financial services to over 230 million mobile subscribers in more than 20 markets across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
