Once installed, the app can be used to buy and download e-tickets. Moreover, the source reports that readers installed at stations are set to enable ticket inspectors to check the tickets by scanning a barcode.

In the first phase of the rollout, the service is expected to be available for the iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson devices. A version for Android-powered smartphones is expected to be launched as future development, the source indicates.
