CHARGE Anywhere payment application for Windows Mobile confirmed as PA-DSS compliant

Friday 18 November 2011 08:19 CET | News

US provider of mobile payment and payment gateway services CHARGE Anywhere has received PA-DSS compliance certification for its Windows Mobile Application.

With the CHARGE Anywhere Payment Application for Windows Mobile, merchants can turn any smartphone or tablet into a point-of-sale terminal. The Windows-based credit card processing offering allows businesses to securely process and manage credit card transactions from their mobile devices.

The PCI SSC developed the PA-DSS based upon the Visa Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) to direct software vendors to create and maintain secure payment applications to reduce vulnerability of merchants and minimize data breaches. (PABP) is determined based upon data and information developed by an evaluation of the application by a Payment Application Qualified Security Assessor approved by the PCI SSC.

CHARGE Anywhere is the developer of proprietary Payment Card Industry CHARGE Anywhere v2.0.0 Mobile Payment/POS software solution designed for use with QuickBooks, smartphones and POS Terminals, e-commerce, web terminal and PCI DSS Level 1 compliant ComsGate Payment Gateway.
