Celcom to expand m-commerce services

Malaysian mobile operator Celcom plans to launch more mobile commerce services in the near future, according to biz.thestar.com.my.

The company has already launched Celcom Air Cash, a USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Services Data) based mobile money transfer service which enables customers to transfer money to other Air Cash users, remit money, reload airtime and make account enquiries. Presently, Celcom subscribers can only transfer money to Indonesia via PT Excelcomindo Pratama.

Celcom will introduce its remittance service in the Philippines,Bangladesh, Cambodia, India and Singapore and also set up a hub for its m-commerce services., according to a company representative cited by the same source.
