CASSIS International integrates MasterCard MOTAPS for NFC programs

Wednesday 8 June 2011 11:00 CET | News

Mobile trusted service manager (TSM) company CASSIS International has expanded its TSM Services to support MasterCard’s Mobile Over-the-Air Provisioning Service (MOTAPS) platform for NFC programs.

The MOTAPS service is an enabling platform for NFC programs that is set to allow the delivery of personalisation data directly to the customer device at the point of issuance, via a standardised interface that works across NFC ecosystem participants.

With MasterCard MOTAPS, issuing banks have an option to transfer and install PayPass-enabled payment account information onto NFC-powered mobile phones. After account provisioning, consumers can use their mobile phone at merchant locations worldwide where PayPass is accepted.

In February 2011, global electronic payment services developer Atos Worldline entered a partnership with CASSIS International. Under the terms of the deal, both parties are expected to offer NFC-enabled mobile payment services, thus targeting the needs of several services providers, including banks, public transport operators, telecoms operators and distributors.
