US mobile payments provider Bling Nation has teamed up with US wireless network provider Viaero Wireless to deliver mobile payments to La Junta residents.

Under the terms of the deal, consumer transactions via Bling Nation’s Community Payments Service will be directed to Viaero’s proprietary wireless network. The latter offers SIM cards that go into the BlingTag Readers at the local merchant, sending consumer transaction data over the wireless network.

Viaero Wireless provides wireless mobile phone and PC EDGE card services, wireless internet plans, business phones and PDAs, internet and PC cards and prepaid wireless services for residents and businesses in North America, Canada and Mexico. Bling Nation provides payments services which allow for local transaction processing for community financial institutions. The company has recently gathered USD 8 million in Series A funding.
