Blaze Mobile awarded patent for NFC payments

Monday 19 March 2012 15:07 CET | News

US mobile payment services provider Blaze Mobile has been awarded a new patent for mobile banking and payment transactions using NFC technology including bill payment, peer-to-peer (P2P) funds transfers, funds transfers between bank accounts, between credit cards and between bank accounts and credit cards.

When performing transactions, customers hold their NFC-enabled devices near an NFC-enabled point of service (POS) terminal, computer, keyboard or monitor to complete the transaction. Therefore, consumers can choose to pay bills, send or receive money transfers, followed by receiving a digital receipt that is stored in the NFC component of the mobile device.

Blaze Mobile develops mobile commerce and advertising services that enable transactions and promotions from the mobile device. The Blaze mobile wallet enables contactless purchases, including movie and event tickets, as well as fund transfers, banking and personal finance management.
