TW’s wGift platform is expected to enable AEO consumers to purchase virtual gift cards directly from any digital device, including internet-enabled mobile phones.
How it works
Gift card senders can choose from four holiday designs within each AEO brand, including AEO, aerie and 77kids. They can also add a personal message of up to 100 characters. Then, the mobile gift card is texted to the recipient’s mobile phone and can be used to shop online, or in one of the 1,000 AEO stores worldwide. Finally, in case the text message is missed, an e-mail message is automatically sent to the recipient.
In addition, TW’s wSocial platform is set to provide users with social gifting options. Therefore, when consumers purchase via the AEO platform on the Facebook website, they can opt to post a message on their wall.
