Safaricom customers to get seamless access to Boomplay

Kenya-based communication solutions company Safaricom has offered the music streaming service Boomplay to its customers in different bundles.

 

The partnership will offer Safaricom customers Boomplay subscription bundles at discounted rates coupled with free data, ranging from a daily bundle of USD 0.16 with 50MB, a weekly bundle of USD 0.99 with 300MB and a monthly bundle of USD 2.46 with 1.5GB.

As a digital-first company, Safari wants to avail affordable devices and data bundles and leverage its extensive network coverage to enable Kenyans to enjoy a digital lifestyle. Through this partnership, its customers can now enjoy their favourite music on Boomplay using bundles that provide value and convenience.

Expanding the digital music ecosystem

Boomplay's officials said that with over 85 million monthly active users, they are a popular music streaming service in Africa, and they want to build a large and sustainable digital music ecosystem for artists and content providers on the continent. This partnership with Safaricom will give millions of Kenyans seamless access to entertainment anytime, anywhere.

Customers can access the Boomplay bundles via the Safaricom App, safaricom.com or USSD *544*6# under option 5, Boomplay and pay via airtime or M-PESA. They will then receive an SMS confirming payment and start enjoying ad-free streaming and unlimited downloads of their favourite songs and podcasts via the Boomplay app.

It houses millions of songs, videos, and entertainment news and allows its users to stream and download their favourite songs and videos and subscribe to access premium features such as ad-free streaming and saving music for offline play.

The service is available globally on mobile through the Google Play Store for Android, App Store for iOS and on the web via www.boomplay.com.
