London-headquartered car sharing company Ryde has announced a series of changes for its users staring of 1 December 2021, including the launch of a subscription plan.

The programme is called Ryde+ and, for USD 19.99 per month, regular customers will receive USD 20 worth of RydeCoins, 20% cashback on selected rides (including RydeX, RydeXL, RydePET), and unlimited monthly cashback based on how many rides customers complete using the car sharing app.

Those who sign up before 31 December 2021 will benefit from USD 25 worth of RydeCoins credited for the first month of subscription, which can later be converted into trips. Monthly subscriptions are automatically renewed so those who want to cancel their subscription must do so one day before the end of the previous billed month.

In addition, the company also introduced two pre-authorisation fees worth USD 2 for ERP (estimated ride price) and USD 4 for cancellation/ waiting time. The pre-authorisation charges will be reverted to the client’s wallet if a ride is not completed.
