Indonesia is optimistic about ecommerce growth in 2018

Ecommerce is expected to grow faster in Indonesia in 2018 than it did in 2017 due to lifestyle change among consumers and governmental support for online business.

The Indonesian Retailers Association forecasted a  9% growth of ecommerce business in 2018. That compares with the 7.5% expansion in 2017.

The change of people lifestyle also led to slow sales in many conventional shops recently. Indonesian President has encouraged business community in the country to use ecommerce to expand their businesses.

The Indonesian government has strongly supported development of the business using ecommerce facilities.
