IBM rolls out Smarter Commercesoftware and services

IBM has launched new service offerings for its Smarter Commerce platform for retail operation integration and analytics.

The new offerings for the e-commerce businesses include the WebSphere commerce and Coremetrics web analytics which enable customers to have access to statistics, charts and dashboards; cloud computing including the Coremetrics lifecycle offering which allows IBM’s clients to track key customer advancement milestones; cross-channel commerce via Coremetrics intelligent offering and WebSphere commerce enabling organizations to gain insight into online buying trends. Other features include Sterling Configure, Price and Quote which helps companies leverage the quote-to-cash process; Social Business which features the Coremetrics social analytics with WebSphere Commerce, providing enterprises with the ability to measure the impact of social activity on their commerce website including social referrals and the usage of social features such as product reviews. Supply chain planning and execution can be achieved through the integration of WebSphere Commerce and Sterling Order Management which enables businesses to optimize inventory investments.

IBMs Smarter Commerce provides integrated services aimed at the entire spectrum of commerce phases which include buying activities such as sourcing, controlling and procuring of goods and materials, as well as personalized marketing capabilities across all customer interactions, the sales of products and service across all channels and service responding to all customer needs throughout the relationship.

IBM has launched Smarter Commerce on 15 March 2011. In a recent development, IBM has entered an agreement with financial services provider Bank of China for the implementation of the IBM Business Partner Centric iSolutions at the London branch.
