FreedomPay teams up with Google Pay to support ecommerce payments

Wednesday 22 April 2020 12:18 CET | News

US-based commerce platform FreedomPay has integrated support for Google Pay to enable payments across its ecommerce solutions.

Through the partnership, FreedomPay Commerce Platform will enable ecommerce transactions for Android users making purchases in applications using cards stored in Google Pay account. With FreedomPay integrated securely to the Google Payments API on the merchant’s behalf, the transaction can be performed on the merchant website irrespective of the browser or OS or within an Android app.

The integration covers both Android applications and browsers via FreedomPay’s Hosted Payment Controls (HPC). Google Pay is a digital wallet platform and online payment system developed by Google to power in-app and tap-to-pay purchases on mobile devices, enabling users to make payments with their smart devices.
