Chinese online shop 360buy expands overseas

Chinese online business-to-consumer (B2C) retailer 360Buy has started to sell directly to overseas buyers.

According to a company official, cited by media outlet China Daily newspaper, the company will open for trade with almost 400,000 new products for sale, from electronic appliances to baby milk powder. 360buy has revealed plans to initially buy made-in-China products domestically and deliver them to overseas clients. The firm will ship to 36 countries. The company also intends to set up warehouses outside China to shorten delivery times.

Chinas e-commerce industry has increased 45 percent year-on-year in Q2 2012, reaching USD 44.58 billion in transaction volume.

In recent news, 360Buy has revealed plans to expand its business operations to include online games.
