Transcepta’s eInvoicing to support US Wynit

Monday 11 February 2008 09:10 CET | News

Wynit, a national distributor of consumer electronics, digital photography equipment, computer peripherals and related supplies has joined hosted electronic invoicing services provider Transceptas electronic invoicing community, aiming to streamline its invoicing and payment processes.

Currently, Wynit is estimated to deliver millions of dollars of products from over one hundred manufacturers to thousands of resellers across North America. Handling a large amount of paper-intensive billing invoices is a time-consuming process. But vendors that are part of the Transcepta Community print their invoices from their existing system to a virtual printer that is downloaded from the internet. Transcepta takes over from there by transmitting the invoices to their data centre and converting them into the format required by the buyer. Using Transcepta’s invoicing service, Wynit plans to offer customers the possibility of choice among four invoice methods – electronic data, email, post or fax.Wynit also intends to use Transcepta’s Accounts Payable functionality, which would allow the company to receive invoices electronically for immediate processing without the need for manual data entry or high error optical character recognition products.
