Finnish purchase to pay services provider Basware has signed up a series of new e-invoicing service providers in the Netherlands, Iceland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries to its global e-invoicing network.

The company has thus concluded interoperability agreements with Swedish provider of electronic ID, payment and information services BBS, international EDI provider Edisoft Baltic, Norwegian company Emetro, Dutch online payment details management company SupplierDNA and Icelandic invoice processing operator Span. As a result, Basware’s e-invoicing currently includes 60 partners in the US, Europe and Scandinavia which provide direct connections to over 25 countries and transmit over 9 million transactions annually.

Basware connects buyers and suppliers in their markets by concluding inter-operability agreements with local e-invoicing services providers, allowing companies to extend their business partner networks while employing existing e-invoicing services. Basware customers receive their purchase invoices electronically via Basware’s Business Transactions service, which is connected to the partner supplier bases, and can thus achieve regulatory compliance, enhance cash flow visibility and faster invoices processing.
