The new products include a secure enrollment kit, which fits inside an envelope for home use by end-users, and a software suit for bank branches. The solutions support both at-home and in-branch enrollments to support regional preferences, as in many part of Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region issuers prefer to mail payment cards to customer’s homes, while in the Middle East and Africa customers will generally be required to visit a branch to register their biometrics.
A power source will activate the card when the kit is opened to securely register customer fingerprints, with a user experience Zwipe says is similar to that customers are used to with smartphones. The technical and mechanical design behind the user experience are intellectual property of Zwipe.
The software application will allow stakeholders to securely enroll customers through a tablet or enrollment kiosk in the branch, with a branded and tailored enrollment experience.
