Yahoo Finance has revealed that a Canada-based grocery store chain is planning to bring biometric facial recognition payments to its stores.

As such, Foodymart, a supermarket chain in China which operates six stored in Ontario and two in British Columbia, plans to purchase machines for facial recognition payments from SnapPay.

Via SnapPay Canadian retailers are offered the chance to implement international payment networks like AliPay and WeChat. The company plans to deliver the first system in Q1 of 2020, although no terms were disclosed.
