PayPal iPhone app adds Touch ID authentication

Thursday 28 May 2015 11:59 CET | News

PayPal has updated its iPhone app to support Touch ID authentication, finally removing the need to enter a PIN every time the app is launched

This option, once enabled in settings, enables customers to authorize app access securely with the fingerprint.

To enable Touch ID, customers first have to log in to the PayPal app on your iPhone with their username and password, then navigate to in-app settings and enable Touch ID under the Login section.

Like before, they can optionally flip the Remember Me switch on to have PayPal show their photo and name and provide access to login options on each run.
