Global provider of payment services Ingenico has launched an international strategy on Healthcare and e-ID based on its Healthcare subsidiary in Germany and the recently acquired healthcare services provider XIRING in France.

In electronic identity (e-ID), Ingenico Healthcare/e-ID is rolling out solutions designed for different applications, from welcoming someone at the front desk of an administrative office through to the mobile checking of secure identity documents (national ID smart card, biometric passport, driving license smart card), from securing government agents workstations to securing the transactions performed remotely by citizens within the scope of government e-services. These solutions have already been selected by several administrations in Europe, in particular in France by police forces.

In Healthcare, Ingenico Healthcare/e-ID strategy is founded on the company’s solutions to secure health-based transactions. Based on readers and terminals dedicated to health cards, these solutions are used by pharmacists, healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, specialists) and healthcare establishments (hospitals, clinics, healthcare centres).

In recent news, French retailer KIABI has selected Ingenico for the management of its card transactions across stores in Spain.
