Wells Fargo to offer crypto funds to its wealthier clients

Wells Fargo has announced it would introduce professionally managed funds for its wealthier clients.

In a report titled ‘The investment rationale for cryptocurrencies’, the Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII) said it viewed digital coins as an alternative investment. It is the latest in a series of US banks to start trading in Bitcoin as the cryptocurrency becomes more mainstream.

JPMorgan Chase is also preparing to let some select clients invest in actively managed funds.
