US-based non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Rarible has announced closing a USD 14.2 million Series A funding round from Venrock Capital, CoinFund and 01 Advisors.
According to Rarible, the company hopes to use this funding to explore more user-friendly developments. Rarible is planning various launches in 2021 including the Rarible NFT protocol, credit card payments, a Layer 2 solution for scalability and sustainability, adoption of the Flow blockchain, and multiple partnerships. Currently, Rarible is working on a partnership with NFT creator S!NG which allows users to produce and put their NFTs on sale with no costs involved.
