Starting from 24 December 2014, over 18 Ecuador-only citizens can now register to receive the new cryptocurrency, a digital counterpart of the national fiat currency.
In order to register, citizens must send a text message to *153#. They will then be eligible to receive coins when the new currency is distributed. This distribution is expected to take place in February 2015.
