Friday 20 February 2015 10:50 CET | News

US-based computer technology company Dell has started accepting Bitcoin payments for online purchases in the UK and Canada.

After adopting the digital currency in the US in July 2014, Dell will now accept payment by Bitcoin from UK customers. Dell will expand its partnership with Bitcoin wallet Coinbase to enable Bitcoin payment to the British customers.

A Dell purchase made using Bitcoin so far was a USD 50,000 Power Edge server system, but the tech company said purchases large and small had been made using the digital currency.
