Bitcoin price drops 13%, falls below USD 350

Thursday 12 November 2015 10:59 CET | News

The price of Bitcoin has registered a more than 13% fall, to reach a seven-day low of USD 329.

Data suggests both USD and CNY markets are now moving in tandem. The value of bitcoin was still higher on CNY exchanges, where one bitcoin was trading for around USD 344.

The decline follows a US government auction of roughly 44,000 BTC and comes amid reports that previous price increases were driven by MMM Global, a pyramid scheme that has captured the attention of The Financial Times and its coverage of market movements.
