Hong Kong-based Wisecard has partnered with Zwipe Pay to bring biometric payment cards to consumers in the Asia Pacific region.
Elaborating on the partnership Wisecard’s officials said that partnering with Zwipe enables them to offer new solutions to their customers, banks, and card personalisation bureaus. Wisecard recognises the benefits that biometric payment cards bring to consumers and issuers alike. With the Zwipe Pay platform they now have the maturity and reliability to make it a reality.
As part of this partnership agreement, the parties have agreed to execute joint sales and marketing initiatives, backed with a technology collaboration where Wisecard will deliver pre-built personalisation scripts for Zwipe Pay biometric payment cards ensuring faster implementation for banks and card personalisation bureaus.
Zwipe’s representative stated that partnering with Wisecard strengthens the global delivery and implementation ecosystem of biometric payment cards built on their platform, across the APAC region and also beyond. Together they will bring next generation biometric payment cards to card personalisation bureaus, smart card manufacturers, payment processors, and issuers.
