Visa continues its Buy Now, Pay Later solution expansion in Canada and the US

Monday 1 November 2021 12:43 CET | News

Launched in 2019 as a pilot programme, the Visa Buy Now, Pay Later system has reached the markets of the US and Canada, following those from Australia, Malaysia, and Russia.

Visa’s new technology aims to meet the increasing interest of global consumers for instalment financing on their credit cards, available across ecommerce platforms and in-store.

Visa supports leading BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) fintechs like Klarna, ChargeAfter, and Afterpay, and is looking to expand its partnerships throughout North America. It already collaborates with companies like Moneris, Commerce Bank, Versapay, and ScotiaBank.

The customised feature allows credit card holders to enable instalments on already approved credit lines and can be used for any retailer that accepts Visa as a payment method.
